METSOL
Our Business Focus
Our focus is to find energy efficient technical solutions for the primary aluminum industry. MetSol produces equipment and provides services to help organizations reach their strategic goals.
MetSol technology provides innovative solutions to the power consumption challenges faced by the aluminum industry today: efficient power usage, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the increasing demand for higher purity metal. Demand for higher purity metal is being driven by higher tech industries, such as airline and automotive manufacturing, requiring higher purity in their applications. This has the flow on effect of requiring the aluminum industry to meet with a corresponding supply in order to compete in these growing markets. MetSol systems are designed to address and support these market needs.
Our vision is to become one the preferred one source supplier of technical solutions for the aluminum industry and provider of the best value proposition in the market.

Drago Juric
CTO
Dr. Drago Juric has worked in all aspects of aluminium smelting technology for over 35 years. He has two post-graduate degrees from University of Melbourne, Australia and from University of Karlsruhe, Germany, on the subject of aluminium reduction cell technology and cathode construction.
He has extensive experience on all aspects of Low Energy Cell design, construction, start-up and operation. Drago has been involved in solving technical problems in aluminium smelting on all five continents. Recently Drago developed and helped Century Aluminum of Kentucky implement pot feed technology, which delivers a significant improvement in metal purity, carbon consumption and maintenance costs.
Drago has worked with Albras, Barcarena, Brasil to identify root cause of poor potlife and proposed a method for repairing affected cells and correcting cell construction so as to achieve long service life.
Drago has worked with Alouette, Quebec, Canada to increase line current from 336 to 370 kA and reduce power consumption below 13 MWh/T.
At Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica, Montenegro, Drago has helped apply low energy concepts to existing sideworked cells to reduce power consumption from 14.4 to 13.7 MWh/T.
Drago also holds multiple patents on a variety of subjects in the aluminum industry.
